How to Create your QR Code

Enter Your GTIN

Input your product's GTIN-13 or GTIN-14 (Global Trade Item Number). QR-Verse validates the check digit automatically. If you don't have a GTIN yet, you'll need to register with your local GS1 Member Organisation to obtain a GS1 Company Prefix.

TIP: GTINs are assigned by GS1 - you cannot create your own. Visit gs1.org to find your local GS1 office and register.

Add Optional Identifiers

Optionally add batch/lot number (AI 10), serial number (AI 21), and expiry date (AI 17). These are encoded in the GS1 Digital Link URI path. For traceability and authentication use cases, serial numbers are essential. For consumer-facing codes on standard packaging, GTIN alone is usually sufficient.

TIP: For serialized traceability, add batch + serial. For basic consumer engagement, GTIN-only codes are simpler and adequate.
